Investigation of the Relationship Between Pre-service Teachers' Critical Thinking Dispositions and Attitudes Towards Socioscientific Issues

In this study, the relationship between pre-service teachers' critical thinking dispositions and their attitudes towards socioscientific issues was examined. Relational survey method, which is one of quantitative research approaches, used in process. 813 teachers from science, mathematics, preschool, psychological counseling guidance, social sciences, classroom teaching, fine arts departments studying at education faculties state universities Black Sea Region Turkey participated research. Critical disposition attitude scales were as data collection tools The findings examined by considering variables gender, class level, knowledge about department education. analysis obtained, results for each scale first divided into groups low, medium high scores. Variables with two categories analyzed using independent samples t-test, more than ANOVA test. Then, multiple linear regression analyses performed. Hayes's (2018) model number 1 to confirm support it advanced statistics. As a result research, determined that low also had sub-variables did not make significant difference.
